If you are looking for points of interest for your next out door adventure in Canada you will want to check out GPS Culture first. GPS Culture has over 1.5 million points for Canada. These POI’s can be loaded in your GPS.
First you select the search you would like to perform. Once on the search page you can select the center point for your search. (FORMAT: Longitude<space>Latitude) Then select the search radius.
The search will look up the points in the DB and present them to you in a Table. If you would like to save them in you GPS you will need to download the points by clicking on the export CSV Link. GPS Babel can be used to convert the CSV GPS points to the file format you need. You can load the points in a Garmin, Tomtom, Magellan, Lowrance, MIO, Navman, and many more ….
If you have points to share you can upload them in CSV or ZIP format through the POI Repository. Any format is accepted in the ZIP file. Just make it a common one preferably a text file. Be sure to become a member to get advance updates on GPS news and Forum topics.
